the intention is good, but...

have you ever encountered any awkward or cynical moment that leave you pause like for the longest time
or just being plain dumbfounded over something good?
well, i sure do

it's not really a big deal, but somehow it does bothers me

the first situation (my story)

place: the office musolla
activity: reading a book during my breast milk pumping session

this particular person enters the musolla, and said to me

'hari-hari akak nampak awak bace buku kat sini, kan lebih elok kalau awak mengaji Al-Quran!'
 i was choked for a while, and then forced a smile back to her

the second situation (a friend story)

place: the office foyer
activity: waiting for dear husband to pick her up and go back home
side note: our office is just beside the UTM mosque and they have this tafaquh class activity every evening after 5pm

the same particular person come, and said

'daripada awak melanguk kat sini, baiklah awak pergi masjid attend class tafaquh tu!'


so, what i'm trying to say is i know that her intention is good
(God bless, she just perform her hajj not too long ago), but the way she approached to both of us is somewhat out of manners
we feel so sentap like that

for my situation, i was pumping milk from my breast, how can i possibly recite the al-quran while doing that?
i don't know about other people, but for me is just not an appropriate things to do
kan?
so, instead of me staring at the wall blindly, might as well i read books
at least i got something out of it too

and whereas for my friend, her husband is going to pick her up anytime soon, and won't it be troublesome for her to go to the mosque like for 5 minutes, and then going out again because her husband is already arrived?

my point is
being persuasive is good
better yet, it is for a good cause pun
but still, we have to think about others too instead of being pushy and and ended up with the other person being hurt, or sad, or just mad
