Book Review: Thanks for the Memories

supposedly, i need to return this book by yesterday
past the due date already!!!
please don't fine me...gulp

i try to bring myself to review every books that i read or borrowed
so, this one is no exception
i have one more lining up, will tell about that later
by the way, i'm not going to give comments and critics, or such
maybe just a very brief and short review
because i know i'm not good at writing looooong words or sentences, huh

Thanks for the Memories is the very first Cecelia Ahern's novel that i read
what can i say, i fell in love with her style of writing immediately
please take note that i still haven't read her very famous best-selling P.S. I Love You yet

the story revolves around 2 individuals who never knew each other, a man and a woman
and each of them belongs to their own different world
when an incident took place, one of them are suddenly overwhelmed with a very strong sense of deja vu which she can't relate into in any past events of her life

err...i am going blank right now...pfttt
so, if any of you who can't never get enough of modern fairy tales, i strongly recommended this one

owh, please let me share some of the excerpt from this book;

`I am five foot five, with medium-length hair that lands on my shoulders. My hair colour is midway between blonde and and brown. I'm a medium kind of  person. Not fat, not skinny; I exercise twice a week, jog a little, walk a little, swim a little. Nothing to excess, nothing not enough. Not obsessed, addicted to anything. B for Bandung

i still couldn't believe myself that i actually went to bandung and jakarta last week
leaving behind my 2 kids and husband was the very last thing that i'll ever imagine i can do
but, i did it anyway
thanks a billion for those who invented Skype
hahaha

so for me it's a great vacation
seriously i really needed one!!
accompany with the best of friends
a very responsible and polite driver cum tour guide
all the food that i can't say no to
and most importantly SHOPPING, until poket rabak

feeling Istanbul already?

my mum is being super sweet today
deliberately she leaves her office at noon today just to accompany her one and only daughter to watch the new movie 'Istanbul aku datang!'
not a big fan of lisa surihani, nor beto
and tomok???
but judging from the people reviews, sure, why don't i give it a try
no harm right?
and, it has been almost 3 years since i last went to the cinema
kesian kan....

so, my personal review

on the movie: nice cinematography, sweet storyline...eventually we all can predict how the story ends
on lisa surihani: i think her acting skills improves a lot, and owh i really wanted to have all her outfit that she wore during the movie
on beto kusyairy: i know this mamat can act really well, and tetibe rase dia sungguh hensem dalam citer ni (hahaha matihlaa kalau husband bace ^^)
on tomok: i didn't get disappointed with his acting...so, do i think he can actually act?errr

would really love to go and watch this with my husband
so, is there anybody wants to babysit???

Book Review: Something from Tiffany's

recently, i have been an avid reader for novels
never has any particular likings, but science fiction is definitely a no-no
oh well i usually only get my hands on magazines i.e. parenting, life and fashion stuffs
coz it is much cheaper, and thinner
never a 300 or 400 pages reading materials

to be honest i only read during my breastmilk pumping session which is twice a day, 20-30 min per session at the office
since my pump is a free-style, i get to do other things to kill the time instead of holding the milk bottle throughout the pumping session

back to the point, this is the book which i only finish read yesterday

well, i never heard of melissa hill before until i came across this book at the library
the only authors that i'm familiar of are judith mcnaught, sophie kinsella, and heck r.l. stine!
at first i was attracted to the book cover, and when i flipped open the book, i found that the wordings and the lines are not that typical-very-hard-to-read-small-letters which i can never say no to not read it
err if you get what i mean

i must say that Tiffany is never really my thing, well not to our custom and tradition because it has always been gold jewellery
gold ring, gold bracelet, or gold necklace but never a diamond, and Tiffany's diamond to be exact
but after i read Something from Tiffany's, how i wish i has one
pfttt in your dreams, silly!

so, if you ever come across this book, read it
trust me, you will not be disappointed
or regret
some twists and turns here and there, and the ending is the very least of what you expect for!

Girls Generation: All my love for you

it is kind of nice to see this side of Girls Generation (SNSD) once in a while
soft, relaxing and subtle

how time flies mama says
it seems that only yesterday i'm popping out from the oven
i'll be one year old pretty soon
super excited

i'm steadily learning how to crawl right now
yeah, i'm good at moving around with my stomach
reaching for toys that mama bought for me
i'm sure i can sit up straight on my own soon enough
but mama always told me "it's ok syg, no need to rush things. you'll be ready when you are ready"
i am all smiles

oh yes, i still woke up frequently at nights 
poor mama
i know she hasn't had a really good night sleep like for the longest time, but how can i resist her yummylicious milk?
please hang in there mama

i also feel something strange coming out from my upper gums
heh, a tooth it is
i hope that i won't drool so much saliva
or getting any fever
or having bad cough and such
coz i know that mama and daddy will always pray my good health

after my traumatic experience during my stay at the hospital during ramadhan, my appetite slowly comes back
i am so in love with apples, pears and oats
and 2 days ago, mama introduce me to banana
i can't keep my mouth close since
yep, banana is so addictive and sedap!

and finally i can cheers joyously
why?
because big sister already sleeps at her own bed for the past couple of weeks
so now i can co-sleeping with mama and daddy without so much space restriction
me, lie down in the middle while being cuddled by mama and daddy in their bed
oh, such heaven!

cuma kadang-kadang ade terdengar citer tak best
mentang-mentang isteri lebih tua, semua keje nak sub kat isteri
semua tanggungjawab yang agak-agak isteri boleh buat, pass pada isteri
dari seremeh-remeh tugas sampai la ke urusan yang patut disettlekan oleh kaum lelaki sendiri
tu belum lagi bila isteri tgh sibuk bawak perut (pregnant!), kau suke-suke je suh dia cat umah bagai
memang sudah lebih!

ade jugak suami yang super hopeless, langsung tak boleh berenggang ngan isteri
sampai nak kene bawak pegi ofis sekali kalau isteri kene keje during weekend
melanguk kat tempat orang lame-lame, pastu boleh bebel plak kenape lambat nak punch out

hmmm
wahai suami, awak dah kahwin dah pun
tak kan masih tak matang lagi?

always had a thing with sageuk or historical drama
it doesn't matter if the production are from the mainland china or korea
my love just the same
swords fighting while flying, many-many layers of beautiful fabrics over a costume, and shhhh the cute hero of course 

right now, i am in the middle of watching these 2 new dramas, Faith and Arang and the Magistrate
yet again, never failed to impress me

anyway, good stories always come with a good sountrack

one night stay at hsa

citer minggu lepas
harap belum basi, heh!

this is taken place approximately a week ago, which is rabu lepas
nadeem dah beberapa hari demam, on and off, for like 3 days
of course, kitorang dah bawak nadeem jumpe doctor, 2 doctors actually within that 3 days but still tak baik-baik
tambah lagi dia kene batuk+selsema, mmg satu pakej complete la

that very night, kitorang dah tak tahan sbb he keeps on merengek-rengek
his voice mmg dah totally out because of the fever
so dalam kul 10 mlm tuh, kitorang terus shoot pergi hsa
upon arrival at the registration counter, the nurse terus amek temperature
38.6!!! hadu makk
straight away diorang suh mandikan nadeem kat situ to reduce his temperature

then, the meet up with the doctor
time tu tgk jam dah pukul 12.30am
he left us with 2 choices, either to admitted nadeem to the hospital, or bring him back home but with no sign of recovery
so, admitted it is!!!
buat keputusan pun cam celaru jugak, sebab banyak nak kene fikir
dengan najah nyer, kang sahur ngan berbuka macamane plak..hrmmm

we were only warded around 1.00 something sbb nak kene amek darah and x ray first
and don't let me start on the needle stuffs on nadeem, scary ok!!
his veins are so small that they have to poke his skin quite a few times on both hands to get his blood sample
and at one point, they even asked me to wait outside the room in order for them to carry out their job

but we are strong, nadeem and i
he only cries a small cry, and as a mom i believe that this situation happens for his own beneficial and yes, i need to really trust the doctors to take care of my baby

nevertheless, the doctors are kind enough to let us discharge the next day

sgt-sgt bersyukur sbb tak yah nak berbuke kat wad

Alhamdulillah, after a week nadeem is getting much better, but he still coughs sometimes
he giggles and smiles bile orang panggil nama dia
kalo tak, memang la dia buat tak dengar je

his appetite pun slowly getting better, but still refuse to accept solid food
mase dekat ward, siap kene pam susu sebab dia langsung reject
mesti trauma sebab makan ubat ni huhu

siyap sedia for raya shopping spree~

 mama prays for your health and well beings everyday, sayang
