would like to introduce our new addition to the family
the beatiful baby keisya

 

she came into our family 28 days ago as my mom's adopted child

and guess what?

i am the ibu susuan!

never have i thought that i will be a someone's ibu susuan

it does feel weird initially, but it kind of washed away when you see her cute, and pretty little face

but then again, as much as i want to cuddle, or kiss or breastfeed her

there come nadeem imran!

he's pretty much jealous, you see

but in such a cute way haha

i was actually the one that gives out the name aimy keisya

aimy means blessing, and keisya is to live well

hopefully, Allah will bless her all the time and she will lead a good life

with us

so now, our problem is how we should address ourselves to her

her adopted mom is my mom

and her ibu susuan is me

what do you want to call me baby?

Ramadan Kareem

it's already the 3rd day ramadhan
how's yours so far?
mine?
apart from my sleepless night (yep, thanks to nadeem imran!) everything is in good condition
mom is staying over at my place since her husband is away to perform his umrah
so yeah, basically i got a master chef in my house!
it does feels great since i don't have to worry of what to cook and whatevs

so, for this beatiful month, i would like to wish Ramadan Kareem to all of you. 

May Allah swt accept all of our fasts, 

let us walk away from this month with all our sins forgiven, 

strengthen our relationship with the Quran 

and bring us closer to our family and friend!

too(two) good news

i've been holding up this two great news since last week
well, just because i don't want to jinx it
since everything's good, and everything's confirm
now i can spill the beans

news number one?
Alhamdulillah...i have been chosen to receive the award for 'UTM Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang tahun 2012'

i received an email from the chief librarian's secretary last week saying that she would like to have a short meeting with us on early monday morning
7.50 am to be exact!
of course at first i thought it was just a normal gathering between the chief librarian and her staff
and then i scrolled down to check on other recipients
gulp!!! ok, why is there only my name on the mailing list?
hahaha
immediately, i ym'ed my good friend and she was like congratulating me with all the APC's stuff
i was like, no way! this is only my fourth year here kut
in denial, doh!
but after the short meeting on monday morning, it all has been clarified
Alhamdulillah, again...

the ceremony is next week, with 'batik' theme
so boring the theme haha
i've been eyeing this one particular midnight blue dress from Love to Dress, that i'd love to wear on that day
it's a plain dress, so i think i can find some batik printed tudung or shawls to go with the theme
paisley is some kind of batik print right?

now, move on to the second news...(drumroll please)
yep, i've secured two tickets to watch Lee Minho concert this coming saturday!
SUPER EXCITED okeh
i'm tagging najah along with me
i know she will always be my utmost trustworthy companion
grabbed the tickets by a deal from Groupon
they gave 30% discount from the actual price
yeay...



if i live in KL, i'd definitely wait for his arrival this evening at KLIA
but, one can only hope...huhu

so najah, let's brush up our korean and buy a new outfit!

Book Review: As of today!

geez...
it has been almost 3 months since my last book review
and you know what, i finally realize that my forte is only to read books but not to review them
i don't know, but i think i want to blame it on my vocab
haha

so, today i decide to just share the photos of all the books that i've read so far
maybe i will write up a super long summary
or maybe just a few sentences
or worst, just a word!
bear me...
doh, as if someone would read my opinion-la!

here goes...

having read 3 books by melissa hill's (as of date!), i came to a conclusion that she loves to manipulate her readers
there is always some kind of twist and turn, here and there
which is good
question like who's who? what's what? will arise
and upon ending, my usual expression would be like

What? 
Seriously?
Really?
Why didn't i notice that earlier?
Why didn't i think of that?

in sort of way
i think that if i were to read the 4th book of hers, i can definitely give a wild guess of any mysteries that it has
(smiling proudly~) haha

whereas After You is about a woman, Ellie who puts her marriage on the line in order to take care of her deceased best friend's daughter, Sophie
her best friend was murdered, and Sophie witnessed everything
she steps in where she think she is needed, and abandoning her life behind
she left her home, her career, and even her husband

well, this book falls under the 'chic-lit' category but with more substance i would say
a simply good read!

in the mean time, i just started reading this book
just reach chapter 4 by the way

 

and am already engrossed with it!
