5th January 2014

it is the 2nd year najah medina at Genius Qayyum
it is also the first day of me and husband working on sunday
well, we get through the day pretty smoothly
but there's also a minute or two where we subconsciously thought that it was monday
haha--

ok, enough about us
so, after over a month of school break, she's all set for her 2nd year at GQ
totally excited, she slept super early that night (before 8pm!, huh)
and easily woke up with a simple line coming from my mouth

"Najah, wake up! School jom!"

we had our regular everyday breakfast at Aminah's
as usual, her orders will be 3 half-boiled eggs to be shared with her dad
then, off we send her to GQ
it's her 2nd year, so we didn't take any annual leave or hours
and just like our normal routine, she salams us and we exchange kisses, and there she goes
can't hardly wait to meet her friends and teachers!

anyway, people always mistook her as a 5 or a 6 years old toddler because of her height
and also because she talks a lot!
when actually, she's only going to turn 4 in two weeks time

mama and daddy are definitely going to plan something for your 4th birthday
nothing exclusive, maybe just a simple, yet to be remembered small family occasion

2014, hail to the new year

it's a spanking brand new year
and i'm hugging it tight with all my heart
resolutions?
i have quite a number, so just to name a few--

to get my own driving licence
to further my studies
to learn new recipes
to read the Quran at least a page a day
to never miss any of the five prayers
to stay healthy
and to spend the money more wisely

the last friday of 2013

i write again today

oh wow--

to commemorate the last friday of 2013, i told myself that i should write a bit today
as you all know, today is not just the last friday of the year, but it is also the last friday of working days for us who lives in johor
to us government people mostly--

a few friends from other states did asked, how do i feel working on sunday?
all i can say is that, i've never been there, so i don't know
i don't know what to feel
i don't know what to expect
i don't know if it such a good idea, or bad, at all
but all i know is

upon writing this, i am actually looking forward for the new working hours

december has always been that month of love to us
of course to me and the husband
and this december means so much more to us since we have hit yet another milestone in our relationship
Alhamdulillah...

the FIVE years of togetherness
the FIVE years of belong-ness (if there's even such a word ahha--)
the FIVE years of throwing tantrums at each other
the FIVE years of being one and another backbone
is one of a kind lifelong lesson
and yes we are still learning, we are still adapting, and we are still cherished each other company

that anniversary outing at genting was such a blast
even though it was quite tiresome with THOSE two around!
and with no cakes, no fancy gifts, no beautiful outfits
our time was well spent with laughter and giggles

so, here's to my sayang, noranizam

a not so typical monday rant!

came to work this morning with no-task at all in hand
tsk tsk...
i actually finished all my outstanding jobs last week in order to make way for a new tasks
whatever it will be, because it's a new month right?

up until 10am, i was clicking my mouse and fingers from Facebook pages to instagrams
i've been blog hopping, one blog after another
i've been listening and watching videos at youtube, from Ellen deGeneres shows to The Heirs OST
i was sitting at my place without fidgeting so that the boss won't notice what i've been doing
and then... i couldn't take it any longer
how am i suppose to spend my entire day at my cubicle without doing anything?
this is totally sucks!
if  the previous me, a day with no job is like my utmost little heaven,
the now me, would be feeling guilty all over--
hihi..no need to explain this kind of stuffs right here

then off i went and meet the boss, just to beg for some tasks
you know what he gave me?
the pending tasks that we actually divided between all the staffs in the division since early november,
and the dateline was way overdue already!

well, it doesn't irritates me at all when he asked me to complete the task
what annoys me the most is the fact that i actually already helped a colleague to finish that exact same task last week because he was down with chicken pox!
i'm talking about 80-90 articles or publications that i need to google online one by one just to get all the details e.g. authors name, journal, volume, issue, ISSN, fulltext and whatnot
so 80-90 articles, you times 3?
it's freaking almost 300 articles!

so yeah, thanks to God i'm not pregnant, or sick
cause i'm sure if i were to be in that conditions, the possibilities of me to throw up is very high

well, thanks a bunch guys
i was not in the frame...pfffttt
but then again, fortunately i was not in it cause then people are going to start comparing our sizes
bib and su will always be the XS, fiza (M?), and i'll be the XL (ok, super long sigh!)

actually, husband's going to pick me up late, hence this post came out of the blue
as you can see, i don't usually talks about friendship here
so, just let me do the introduction of who are these beautiful people

from left, she's bib
we're off the same age
and she's totally in love with disney princesses and girly stuffs
you guys should see her previous workplace
it was so full with  those tiny miny little princess stickers all over her desk
yeah, i know, what kind of 30 years old who still loves disney princess?
haha
but i'm warning you, you probably don't want to mess with her
she can be a hard-cold sometimes
at the moment, she's still single, but not for long
her big day is just around the corner...like another 2 weeks away
gulp! as a good friend, my advice to you please please enjoy that single-hood moment
live it to the fullest cause after this everything is going to be shared
which is a good thing, right?
yikes--

the middle one, that's fiza
same age with two kids
she's like the sporty one among us four
lawn ball, netball, and petanque are all her specialties
but she's also the most tired people in the world!
how come?
because she needs to wake up really early
everyday, she will made delicious sandwiches and bring it to the office
and not for free!
duh--
and she's also good at making cupcakes ^^

last but not least, there is suhana
a year younger than us three
she called fiza 'kakak', but me and bib just by our name
why aahh? so rude! hahaha
this girl really loves online shopping (still kan?) and always seek the advice from this master of online shopping herself
ok, that would be me *facepalm*
last time i checked, she's into vintage but then after she's married, she's more into muslimah fashion? ke?
erkk NOT!

oh by the way, suhana and fiza are family related since their husband are cousins
you know what freaks me out? both husbands actually sounds the same... i mean their voices
the first time i talk to ben (fiza's spouse) i thought i was speaking with salih (suhana's husband)
giler ah--

well, here goes to you ladies
may we still be that shoulders to cry on in 30 years to come, if God's willing
may we share our voices that constantly remind each other of do's and dont's

and may we enjoy every laughter together often 

and oh yeah, and may our 'little businesses' that we are doing right now blossoms and expands
