i've been working my a** off for the last 10 straight days
(yep, no weekend for me last week TT__TT)
there's a BIG project around the corner that needs to be done
a lot of time and effort have been put into, and this song helped me a lot to get through it
it is not a motivation song of any kind
it's just that the beat, the rhythm, and the catchy lyrics manage to keep my mind remain sane for all the long hours



p.s: my leave are approved for this friday. heck, a day leave for a five days holidays, mestilaa lompat kegembiraan!!!

No More Talking!

last friday was najah medina 3rd birthday
i was so busy working (over the weekends too!), and just couldn't find the time to update here in my blog
bad mama! haha
as if a birthday post is such a big matter to her
well, it is a kind of a big matter for me tho'

ok, enough ramblings on her birthday, because what i wanted to share today is about najah and her school
it's already her 3rd weeks of schooling and Alhamdulillah, i have no problem at all waking her up super early in the morning
well, there are certainly a few bad days here and there, but so far so good
her passion for her school is so over the top, that she also insisted to go to there during saturday and sunday
apekah???

she will be like, 'Mama, bangunlah. Dah siang ni. Najah kene mandi cepat. Nak pergi school!'
and i will be like, 'Najah, harini school close la. Weekend kan. Teacher pun tak pegi school'
and then she will start-la making face, starts getting cranky  

'NOOOO, Najah nak school jugak harini!!!'

and later on, she will go through her school bag, take out her 'Communication Book' and pointing at whatever pages,

  'Tengok ni. Kan teacher tulis harini kene school' 

yeah, as if she already knows how to read! haha
basically, a 'Communication Book' is a book provided by her school, that we as a parent are obliged to check on it every single day, to see if there are any announcement and information that we should know of

at Genius Qayyum, there are rules where they do not allow parents to be inside the school premises during the school hours, which i'm assuming that it have something to do with the children independence stuff
i totally respect that!
and for that, i am very thankful that the school creates a facebook page, so that we get to know how our kids are doing 
what are they doing during classes? what are they eating during meal breaks? 
because najah, she just wouldn't tell exactly what's going on at her school
sigh...

 

but one thing for sure, she definitely learns to say these word from school which i'll probably remember as long as i live

last weekend, i was scolding her and her 2 cousins, Alissa and Arryan about them playing rough with each other

well, is was more like a 'bebel' for me rather than scolding

suddenly she comes to me, put one finger on her mouth, and shouts

'Mama, NO MORE TALKING!!!'

Queen In Hyun's Man: A drama review

oh no! i am doing injustice for this blog
why? there hasn't been even one post being up-ed this week
that's why (errr duh!) haha
and it's thursday already~

so, right now i'm seriously putting all my energy to my fingers and (ehem my heart and my brain) just to write a single post
and of all the matters in the world, i choose to write a review on this korean drama that i've just watched
yep, i dragged all my family members (namely my mom, my dad, my stepdad, husband and kids) to watch the 16 episodes drama for the past 3 days
i'm cruel, i know

the plot

Kim Boong Do (Ji Hyun Woo), a top scholar from Joseon era. a calm, steadfast, and definitely a man with an awesome intelligence. he has that charm which our lady attracted to and consistently called him a woman player. needs to be in a life-and-death situation in order to just go for a date with his woman

Choi Hee Jin (Yoo In Na), a new breed actress around the corner with a pure heart. a nice person with a cute impromptu dumb act, and can be quite miang or gatal at times 

(and that times are mostly when she's with her man)

my review

pure romance is written all over Queen In-Hyun's Man, despite the political intrigue in the Joseon scenes and meddling exes in the modern-day ones. however hard the situation could ever be, the couple were simply people who grabbed what chance gave them and chose love over everything else, and not just bowed down to Fate

eventually, Ji Hyun Woo develops a feeling for Yoo In Na while shooting for this drama.

heishh you have no idea the awkward moment when you are caught up with those scenes with everyone in the families around you. i feel like to run or hide under the sheets!

2013 kicking off well

the 1st day of 2013 comes pretty normal to me
just like every other day
normal and calm, yet with a different tinge on its own

so tomorrow, baby girl najah will starts preschool
gulp, mixed feeling here and there

will she be okay?
what if she gets into fight with other kiddos?
will she listens to the teacher?
will she be all play and being stubborn?
because, having a 3 years old with an almost unpredictable behavior, the situation can be quite tough
but then again, knowing your daughter better than anyone else, i believe she will turn out just fine
kan najah? kan?
promise mama please!

apparently, me and my mom went to the kindy yesterday to collect her school uniforms, yellow school bag and etc2
upon receiving all the stuffs, surprisingly, this came out from her little loud mouth

'Najah tak suke la school bag ni.
School bag kan mesti ade gambar princess-princess.
Yang ni takde pun!'

ok, rase nak nyorok bawah meja
where to hide the face in front of all the teachers???
